Purses With a Purpose — An FCC Youth Mentorship & Community Give‑Back Program

IMG_3181.jpeg

Purses With a Purpose is one of Faith Community Center’s youth mentorship and community outreach initiatives. Each purse is a small cosmetic bag filled with self‑care and hygiene items for student‑aged girls in our local schools.

These bags are placed in school offices throughout the school year, making them easily accessible to any girl who may need a little extra support.

Every self‑care bag is a simple but powerful reminder that our girls are valued, seen, and loved.

FCC and Sea Tow Foundation Borrow & Return Life Jacket Stands

FCC’s partnership with the Sea Tow Foundation is one of our youth mentorship and community give‑back programs. Together, we help spread water safety awareness across Belleville Lake by offering free, borrow‑and‑return life jackets for boaters and families.

Faith Community Center maintains all five life jacket stands and boxes along Belleville Lake. Each stand is stocked with life jackets to ensure everyone can enjoy the water safely.

From May through October, our youth mentorship program volunteers take the lead in restocking, inspecting, and maintaining these stands—building responsibility, leadership, and community pride.

This program reflects our commitment to keeping our community safe while teaching our youth the value of service.
